Super Mande Percussion is hosting a free African drumming workshop at Miller's Homestead in Boronia on Friday, 12th July. This exciting event is part of the 'Immersed in Music' month of performances, sponsored by Knox City Council.
What can kids expect at the workshop?
At the workshop, kids will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the rich rhythms and beats of West African music. They will learn about the different types of drums used in African percussion ensembles, and have the opportunity to connect with other music loving kids through the cultural tradition of West African drumming. A djembe drum (hand drum) will be available to each child for the session.
